Angora Napkin: Page 11

ORIGINAL ARTWORK: LOST?

Curious, Once again I've come up with another unaccounted for page of original artwork. Perhaps my trusting nature is getting the better of me as some turkey stole all the CD's out of my car the other day too. Serves me right for not locking the doors - criminal masterminds are everywhere! Anyway, it's a lesson on keeping good inventory I guess. Always look on the bright side of theft!

In other, more interesting news - the PACE press release is out now! Read up on how I'm spending my summer and if you're in PEI during the July-August months then please stop in and see what I'm up to!

Quite a while back (like, in 2006!) I did post about the creation of this page, if you missed it then click HERE and see how this page developed from a mere tadpole!

Always look on the bright side of manslaughter! *whistles*

There's some stuff cooking over on the old Caffeine & Sleep Deprivation blog of mine that might be of interest to anyone spending time in PEI over the Summer months. More details to follow soon!

ORIGINAL ARTWORK: SOLD?

Hmm, I can't seem to locate the original art for this page nor a record of it being sold - hence the question mark. If I come across it in the future I'll update that link.

Meet Mallory! Ain't she a peach?

Fun Fact #1: Nick Cross was the main designer behind creating Beatrice and Molly back in the day and Mallory was my contribution to the band. Fun Fact #2: We originally named her 'Hillory'.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK: SOLD

One thing's for sure about web comics, if they're not self contained they take some time to get momentum! Some day I might start running a blog full of my single panel "Mygrain" comics so you can just read 'em and get on with your day.

See you Friday!

ORIGINAL ARTWORK: SOLD

Well here we go, and what better place to start then page 1!

The first book was coloured only with the blue tone, just a little something I lifted from Daniel Clowes "Ghost World" book. IDW suggested I go full colour instead but I really wanted to do spot colour - my attempt to keep in "Indie" maybe? Also, colouring's an evil bitch. As I've probably mentioned before the next book is full colour, and while I must admit it does look good it is still a pain in the arse to colour.

I'm sure Blogger's not the best platform to run a web comic on but the last thing I am is a tech junkie. I tried setting up Comicpress and it was a nightmare wrapped in hell so here we are. Cry noob if you must.

If you're new to Angora Napkin, I hope you enjoy the ride from here on out! If you've read it before, I hope you'll stick around and read it again while you wait for the next chapter!

Shout out to my current roster of IndieGoGo Heroes:

RENEE LAPRISE
KENNETH BOSCH
ROB ANDERSON
DAVE RIGLEY
NICK CROSS

See you all again Wednesday!

Welcome to Angora Napkin

Greetings gang! New in town? Well you've come to the right place - provided you came here to read the Eisner nominated Angora Napkin graphic novel for free! That's right, I said it. FREE LIKE A BIRD WITH A JET PACK!

Beginning on Monday and updated 3 times a week you can check out the adventures of Beatrice, Molly & Mallory from the safety of your computer. Read it at home naked, at the office with a sexy co-worker or on the run from the police - the only limit is your imagination & internets access!

Yes, it doesn't get better then free and I'm passing the savings on to you! But should you feel the blinding urge to help support a lowly comic artists dream to draw retarded comics until he dies of dysentery then I have options for you: Buy stuff! Donate to the IndiGoGo fund! Advertise on the banner below! Purchase original artwork or commission some!

(Seriously - major thank you for helping support this and future Angora Napkin stories.)

So starting Monday I'll begin serializing the entire book along with random commentary, sketches and nonsense PLUS every page of original artwork posted will be available for purchase by one lucky bidder!

Please help make this awesome by spreading the word and converting the ignorant into fanatical "Serviettes" of the mighty Angora Napkin!

See you Monday! XOXO
